Hey this is Tamara and Amanda reporting from Alex’s 19th birthday party. Daryl’s lazing somewhere at the moment…so we have taken over his blog! It has been a great night celebrating. The cake was very very nice…mmm ice cream and cookies and chocolate!
Daryl and Alex made another sparkler bomb…but this time it was 600. We went to that patch of grass near the Sinnamon Park tunnel leading to Mt Ommaney. It was quite interesting. You can see it here. It also left a big burnt patch in the grass. You can see it here. Tamara was very nice during this time as she was barefoot because she lent Amanda one of her shoes. Amanda lost her thong as she tried to kick Tamara but it flew up onto the roof. Thanks also to Daryl who went up on the ladder to retrieve it for us.
Alex received some great presents tonight. He received an i-Dog, Finlandia, a dragon incense burner, a Homer Simpson talking figurine, a keying of a female torso, and gift vouchers amongst other great items.
We are such good friends as we are writing this blog for Daryl in his hour of desperation.
To everyone starting uni tomorrow; have another enjoyable, wonderful, fantastic, spectacular, fun, exciting and rewarding year of uni!

Hi Daryl!
I'm a long time lurker, first time poster but just thought i'd pop in and say hi and tell you how much i enjoy reading your blog! Its always a great read and its a pity you haven't been blogging as often lately, but i guess work keeps you busy.
It's hard finding decent tech oriented blogs that aren't bloated with advertising and technical specs! But yours is one of the few that i do truthfully enjoy reading as often as possible.
I dunno why, but you always seem to be able to bring a smile to my face when i read your stuff.
