Wireless power

I remember reading some time ago about a pad that can power or charge devices that are sitting on it through induction. At the time it was just a prototype, but it now seems that it has now been developed for consumer use:

SplashPad: Cut the power cords

From the article:

Wireless power is here! Slashphone reports that SplashPower released information on two new products: The Multi SplashPad and the Single SplashPad. These products will allow the user to charge their own mobile devices when placed on the SplashPad's surface using its patented Paraflux technology.
This certainly is a product that I wouldn’t mind to have, especially once it is developed further by actually integrating it INTO electronic devices. Imagine coming home and just placing your mobile phone, PDA, digital audio player, etc onto the pad to charge. Certainly is a little easier than docking it with a charging bay or plugging an adapter into it.
