A slow relaxing Sunday (I wish)

Started the day nice and early to head over to my best mate’s place (Alex, for the people that know me), and pulled apart his car to run and terminate all the necessary cables for his subwoofer he is planning to get hopefully this Wednesday. Its kinda fun running cables and all in different cars; you get to see how everything is put together behind it all. The task wasn’t that bad as most of the obstacles that got in the way could easily be worked around. It has now all been tested with my amp and sub and everything works well, apart from some rattling here and there cause by the behaviour of low frequency.

Once that was out of the way, I got home only to realise that now my sister wants to clear out our huge storage cupboard in the hallway to make room for the hundreds and hundreds of dresses she has for her business ‘Belly Bulge Maternity’. The problem is, this cupboard is used to store pretty much everything that isn’t getting used or used often, and it was practically full to the top. Somehow we needed to clear out HALF of it all to make sufficient room. Well after a good 5 hours or so, the task is now complete and everything actually worked out quite well.

On the other side of things, it seems that fuel cells in MP3 players may be a possibility:

Toshiba introduces fuel cell prototypes for audio players

From the article:
Toshiba today announced that it has developed two prototypes of direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) units for mobile audio players. One features an output power of 100mW for flash memory-based digital audio players and the other offers 300mW for hard disk drive (HDD)-based digital audio players.
Though I don’t know if carrying around a bottle of flammable ethanol would be any easier than carrying a spare battery.
