So Westfield Chermside was open for its usual 33 hour Christmas shift (9am Tuesday 23rd till 6pm on Wednesday 24th), so I decided to take advantage of some last minute shopping. As you probably would have figured, I really hate shopping centres around this time of the year because it is always so busy that:
1) There is traffic everywhere,
2) It is near impossible to get a parking space, and
3) The centres are packed full of people and it is noisy.
I still had a few more presents to buy, so I thought I may as well leave it till now so I can cut a lot of the hassle. And that I did. It took me only 20 minutes to drive there (a usual trip takes about 30-35 minutes), I got a parking space right next to the entrance, and the centre was no more busy than a normal trading day outside of the holiday season. Plus all the noisy little kids were most likely in bed, so that cut down on a lot of noise. With Christmas Eve usually being a really busy day for shopping, I'm quite happy that I've now got all my shopping done without the hassle.
